Un’oasi di pace. Struttura e camere curate nei dettagli. Il proprietario parla italiano ed è stato molto piacevole chiacchierare con lui. Ottima anche la colazione. Manca il frigo in camera ma in Sri Lanka ne abbiamo trovati davvero pochi. Tutto perfetto

Un vrai petit paradis à proximité de Kandy. Le cadre est magnifique !! Les hôtes très gentils

Notre plus beau logement du Sri Lanka. Tout est décoré avec goût, c est très propre. C est excentré de la ville mais facile de la rejoindre en tuk tuk. Il y a un restaurant à proximité si on ne souhaite pas aller dans le centre de kandy.

Absolutely stunning interior design and architecture, every detail though about and a beautiful showcase of Kandyan art- a total feast for the eyes! The swimming pool was the perfect cool off after a day of exploring Kandy and the location is just far enough out of town to be peaceful but a short tuktuk ride into the centre. It is also near a very well stocked supermarket. The hosts were wonderful and made us a delicious breakfast.

Absolutely nothing negative to say- it was very good value for money! Not the most budget accommodation in Sri Lanka but for £15 per person per night it is no worse price-wise than staying in a European hostel.

Établissement situé un peu à l'écart de l'effervescence de Kandy, donc au calme ! L'endroit est très charmant avec ses airs de petite oasis, bien décoré avec une certaine accumulation de plantes, d'objets traditionnels ou détournés. Le couple de propriétaires est arrangeant (quoiqu'un peu distant, on a trouvé). Ils vivent sur place donc sont disponibles si vous avez besoin.

La piscine, ombragée, est vraiment trop froide, il est impossible de s'y baigner ! Le petit déj est suffisant mais vraiment très simple et le service est expéditif. De façon générale : nous avons trouvé que le service n'était pas au niveau du cadre enchanteur de l'endroit. Ca détonne un peu des autres avis, désolé ;) La lumière du petit salon extérieur ne fonctionnait pas, on aurait aimé s'y poser pour boire un thé et lire un peu le soir. En revanche, une lumière au plafond de la chambre ne s'éteint pas complétement la nuit, pas super pratique pour dormir et ça n'a pas semblé déranger notre hôte quand on l'a signalé ;)

Definitely wouldn’t stay again, let alone recommend. Very damp rooms, smelt terrible and lots of mosquitos inside and out (I was glad my doctor had recommended malaria medications, as I was absolutely ravaged by mosquitos by the morning). I requested an extra towel so that I could use the pool - and the ‘host’ told me that they’re not a 5 star hotel and that they only ‘issue’ 1 towel. I pointed out that I wasn’t going to bring a pool towel from Australia in my suitcase! She eventually felt sorry for me, so gave me a bath mat to use. It sounds funny in retrospect, but at the time - when I was exhausted from a long train trip - it was a very unwelcoming let down. It was quite a chilly night, and the bed only had a sheet, so instead of asking her for a blanket, I slept in a fleece jumper - heaven forbid I interrupt her again, and goodness knows what she’d charge for a loan of a blanket!! For a home stay, it’s very poor value for money. It’s only a little bit less than the Radisson hotel in Colombo, and really not a comfortable experience. Miserable, thin pillows. No ‘creamer’ or long life milk for a cup of tea - and we’re here in Sri Lanka and the best they could do were Lipton teabags and Nescafé???? To be honest, I couldn’t wait to be out of there! I’ve had some really beautiful experiences of home stays in Sri Lanka, and this certainly wasn’t one of them!!! Also, only cash payment - and a long way from anything, including an atm. Huge improvements needed.

Stunning room and amazing hosts. The pool is very refreshing after a hot day. The rooms are exquisitely decorated. We recommend Cafe 1886 downtown for curry and walking distance to Spice & Herb restaurant. Starlit night and saw lots of fireflies on the way back to the hotel, magical!
