Wooden Shoe Motel

I was charged more than what was quoted.

Breakfast was great Good food, reasonable price, fast service. On the same property as Motel. The Antique shop was wonderful. Wide variety of dealers and collections. Large and well organized.

Motel looked rundown. Carpet dirty and torn. Shower curtain dragged in the tub bottom. Shower plumbing loose. Mattress cover plastic, hot and noisy with movement. One bed no mattress cover. TV pixels going. Noisy neighbors. Looked like some rooms were extended stay with grills outside the rooms and a stack of tires.

Dated but super clean and cozy. The room I booked was different from the one I received. It was better! King size bed and a ginormous hot tub. The TV didn't work but was replaced immediately. Staff very friendly and helpful

There was a travel delay due to a flat tire and they were called & told arrival would be 3 AM. The person at the desk said the system was down but he would leave a note for the next shift. Then tried to call as we got close & kept getting put on hold & the calls would end. Finally gave up. So never got to use the room, but still had to pay for it.
