Situation perfect with great view

Peaceful, quiet location, within walking distance of Balranald Nature Reserve. Lovely views across the Loch. A very cosy accomodation with a really comfortable bed.

The bed is enclosed on both sides, so you do need to be able to clamber down it to get in and out of it, but super comfy so I didn't mind that. Cooking facilities were a little limited as I like to cook. The cooker is a portable 2-ring electric camping stove. There is a small microwave and a small fridge, both pretty much camping-size, which are sufficient on the whole, depending how much self-catering you like to do, I also had my own plug in camping fridge so was manageable.

Superb location overlooking the loch, comfortable cabin with all the amenities you could expect, peaceful and cosy. The property was well laid-out and made my stay a real pleasure

This is an absolutely wonderful little cabin, in the most beautiful location, just by a little lochan and overlooking mountains. A glorious place to wake up each morning and see black-headed gulls and whooper swans on the lochan. The bed is large and super comfortable, there are good self-catering facilities. Everything is clean and in good condition. Host is super-helpful and friendly, and unlike some in Scotland respects the fact that guests want privacy. The location is completely quiet and peaceful, with no noise at all to disturb sleep. You can park right by the lodge and there is a lovely picnic table so you can eat outside looking over the mountains. The wi-fi is dependable (though not super-fast)

On Booking.com the name of these lodges is given as 'North Uist Lodges'. The sign at the roadside says 'Swan and Cygnet Lodges'. I drove up and down the road for over half an hour looking for North Uist Lodges before I flagged down a local driver who fortunately was able to tell me about this discrepancy. It would be very helpful if the owner would change either the signage on the road or the name on Booking.com so that guests could actually find the place!
