The room was spectacular. I slept so long and well!

The narrow steps throughout the facility were difficult for these old knees. they were so helpful to get suitcases up the stairs, but it was still a limiting feature to navigate.

It’s lovely, has character, and is not far from anything.

We had to climb two flights of stairs to get to our room. The “ocean view” was largely hidden by trees.

"Time to spend some money and upgrade the facility"

5.0

OK. Great location within walking distance from several good restaurants and the inner harbor.

I stayed at the Camden Inn (the former name) back in the late 80's when it had the charm of an aging New England Inn. The charm is gone and it feels decrepit and uncared for. I wouldn't stay there again.

"Memorable stay, including dinner at Nathalie's, the inn's exceptional restaurant."

9.0

Breakfast was a la carte and included in the room rate. It was served on the verandah of this old inn dating from 1870 and overlooking Penobscot Bay. Setting and food were excellent.

Suites had noisy window air conditioning units rather than central air conditioning. At night you did not need air conditioning but you could not open up the windows to catch the sea breeze because the windows had no screens.
