Sunset Fort Galle

Great location. Very central in the fort area. Easy to walk around and ample space to keep our bicycles. Room was comfortable and clean. Very quiet area and peaceful at night. Breakfast was good too.

Just that the room we had could have more electrical plug to charge our electronics. There was only one available in the whole room, so perhaps adding another at the other side of the bed would be so much better.

De lokatie was binnen het Fort en dichtbij alles wat je nodig hebt. Personeel deed er alles aan om het naar je zin te maken. Mooi oud pand met prima kamers.

Location is perfect, in heart of Galle fort accompanied by peaceful surroundings.

Everything was perfect beyond expectation.

Bon emplacement dans la vieille ville, personnel aux petits soins. Espace calme et tranquille.

Ik arriveerde later op de avond. Er was alleen nog iemand aanwezig die geen Engels sprak. Na te zijn ingecheckt bleek de kamer ramen te hebben met uitzicht op de gang waar iedereen langsloopt. Het ergste was dat de zowel de airco als fan niet werkten. De medewerker kon zelf niet verder helpen en moest telefonisch een consultant raadplegen wat hij kon doen. Een andere kamer was in eerste instantie alleen mogelijk met bijbetaling omdat deze in een hogere klasse was voor de periode. Uiteindelijk als oplossing dat ik 1 nacht zou blijven in de duurdere kamer en dan weg zou gaan.

Great location. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the owner will do his best to please you. Even if you don’t have money, he will feed you for free. We stayed in a room with a private bathroom. There are also rooms with shared bathrooms available. We had the best food, prepared by Asanka and Tikiri. Her pol sambol and fish curry are very tasty and spicy. They have a huge garden with lots of fruit trees. It’s a very peaceful and welcoming place, even though you can hear the train from time to time. We loved the hospitality and the warm welcome. Train noise

Location is excellent . Staff are friendly . Breakfast was plentiful with fruit, toast and omelette.

No windows in rooms . Bathroom waste pipe from sink was broken and temp fix is a plastic pipe to a drain where cover is removed. We had cockroaches in bathroom. There are no amenities in bathroom, just a small tablet of soap.
