Villa San Filippo

It is honestly hard to describe the amazing experience we had at Villa San Filippo. We stayed for three weeks, and I can easily say it was the best stay we have ever had anywhere. The property is tranquil and stunning, from the minute you pull onto the tree lined driveway. The villa is beautifully positioned on a wooded property near a gorgeous lake, with trails to experience it all. Salvatore maintains a beautiful landscape, with flowers everywhere to enjoy. There is even a swing hanging from a tree! The second floor apartment is comfortable with everything you could need. The highlight is certainly the terrace, with large doors that open into the living room and one of the bedrooms. We spent as much time as possible on the terrace; enjoying our meals, coffee, reading, painting, and listening to all the nearby church bells and birds singing. The home itself is a work of art! Everywhere you look there is artwork, carefully crafted furniture and shades, and curated antiques. Salvatore has poured so much of himself into this space and it shows within every inch of care and attention. The location is fantastic, with a nice walk to town where there is a train station on a main line to Florence and Rome. We enjoyed walking (or taking the bus) into town to enjoy coffee, lunch, or explore the area. There is a beautiful park right before you reach town, with an incredible view! We traveled all around Italy, and Arezzo was our unexpected favorite, with things being just a little bit more quiet and welcoming. Lastly, Salvatore is an absolute gem. I have never experienced such a genuine love of hosting others. You can tell he fully enjoys his work of sharing his home with you. He went above and beyond, giving us rides to the grocery store, helping us set up reservations, and he even cooked us dinner one night (which was one of the best meals we had)! I truly feel we have gained a friend in Salvatore, and this experience would not have been the same w/o him.

Absolutely nothing. Villa San Filippo is truly magic. I cannot say enough, you should absolutely visit.

Villa San Filippo is a well maintained vintage Tuscany style villa, original interiors are preserved with great care by the host. Salvatore is very welcoming and kind person, we really liked him, he is a artistic soul and created a peacfull paradise just outside Arezzo, this is a good spot with plenty attraction below 1h drive from the villa. Salvatore was also very accomodating to our pet and we loved that.

Villa San Filippo is a special place. To feel it, you simply have to come here. The house is a real work of art! It was difficult for us to go out every morning to explore the area - the house itself is worth the most attention! The host is very open and friendly, extremely hospitable. It is rare to find such hosts when travelling. We feel as if we have returned from a holiday with a best friend. Salvatore thank you for this unforgettable, magical atmosphere 🙏and hope to comeback one day to your amazing place! ❤️
