I enjoyed my stay at the guest house

Location was good, breakfast was lovely, staff was friendly, room was neat and clean although very small.

No one to met me on my arrival, very small room although i expected a bigger one considering the amount paid... Was told by staff if i had called in i would have received a bigger room then what's the point of booking online etc... Had to ask one of the guests to call the manager on my arrival.

I am extremely disappointed with this booking experience. We specifically chose this property based on the photos and description on Booking.com, as it showed a desk with a chair and a mirror — something very important to me for doing my hair and makeup. Unfortunately, we never even stayed in the property we originally booked. On the morning of our arrival, we received instructions for key collection, but the address seemed incorrect. When I called to confirm, the person who answered was unprofessional and unhelpful, simply insisting the address was correct. Upon arrival, we found the house from the photos, but the instructions did not match the actual layout. After calling again, we were told we were at the “wrong house” and redirected two houses away. At that point, we were informed there had been a double booking — something nobody had communicated to us in advance. This is completely unacceptable. The alternative accommodation we were placed in was not of the same standard. It clearly needed maintenance, the lampshades were extremely dirty, and the lighting was very poor. Basic expectations were not met. We also had to ask about breakfast (which was included in our booking), and it had not even been arranged. To make matters worse, the shower overflowed on the first morning, and even by late morning there had been no follow-up, no apology, and no attempt to check whether everything was okay. When we eventually spoke to the host, there was still no sense of accountability. While the replacement property had a sea view and garage, that is not the point — we did not receive what we booked and paid for. Overall, this experience was very frustrating and poorly managed. I would not recommend this property due to the lack of communication, professionalism, and failure to deliver what was advertised.
