Very clean and stylish hotel stay. Decent Staff

This is a really beautiful property situated in a good location in Nuwara Elia. The staff were absolutely lovely, very welcoming at our arrival despite how late in the day we got there, and carried our bags to and from the room for us, really cannot fault the staff. The hotel is nicely decorated although a little scruffy/tired, with extremely comfortable furniture.

There is no way this hotel could be considered 5 stars. Unfortunately filthy is really the only way to describe parts of the room. We had a kitchenette which, when we opened the cupboards, was covered in crumbs and stains, a thick hair was present in the middle of one of the bathroom sinks, and there were stains on multiple of the towels. A proper scrub of the rooms and bathrooms, a bit of a freshen up, and throwing away towels with stains that do not wash out or are threadbare would make a huge difference in the experience, and I hope the managers/owners take this on board.
