The hosts were amazing, clear instructions how to get there was sent on WhatsApp the morning of our arrival. The accommodation was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Kitchen had one plate stove, microwave and even an air fryer, with beautiful plates and cutlery. The bed was comfy and had good quality linen. Even a standing mirror to do your makeup. The shower waterflow was strong and hot. Toiletries were provided and even toothpaste and toothpaste, plasters, savlon, just to name a few. Luxury towels and bathrobes were also provided. The best part was definitely the view over the river. We had so much to do, fishing, hiking, canoeing on the beautiful river, pool and darts were all FREE activities. There was horse riding, while riding you see the wildlife on the farm and some ball sports too. The spa was a bliss, again, very well priced, beautifully decorated and they especially filled the outside jacuzzi for us . We have been to many places before, and for the price you pay Goshen was the best. We will be returning for a longer stay soon.

I can't fault Goshen. I find many bad reviews, unnecessary. If you don't want gravel roads, rather don't book into a game resort or farm stay. You don't need a 4x4 to stay here, just maybe avoid it if your sedan is particularly low, but there were many people in sedans there.

We booked for 2 nights and were travelling with kids. The hosts were very welcoming, and made our stay a pleasant one. The place was well taken care of and the were plenty of activities that the children could take part in. The pool was clean and the kids had lots of fun swimming. Gloria made sure that we got everything we wanted, she is truly a gem and the owners should hold on to her❤️

The roads were a nightmare, especially because we were travelling at night. I would advise on the Jagersfontein Road, it wad not as bad as the Edenburg Road.

Goshen Guest Farm is a beautiful place to stay. The accommodation is spotless, crisp white linen, very comfortable beds, and a calm, well cared for setting. Everything feels clean, fresh, and thoughtfully done. The surroundings are peaceful and scenic, and the overall experience offers excellent value for money. It is the kind of place where you can properly switch off and relax.

Two practical points need to be made very clear for future guests. This is not suitable for sedans or vehicles with low ground clearance. There are two low water crossings on the access road, and sections of muddy dirt road. After rain, or during flooding, these crossings can become very problematic and potentially impassable without a high clearance vehicle. It is also important to note that the farm is about 20 km off the N1, which means a 40 km round trip on a dirt road. This is not an issue if you plan for it and have the right vehicle, but it should be known in advance. Other than these access considerations , the stay itself is excellent and highly recommended.

I only liked the view of the river.

GPS Coordinates on the owners website is misleading. Only after I tried to call the owner twice with no answer did I get a handy information brochure with directions. We were already lost and had a flat tyre. What no one tells you is that it is a 25km dirtroad of which some sections will not be handled by a normal sedan. After the owner was notified that we were lost and stuck with a flat tyre in a desolated area, no help was offered. Eventually we arrived after being stuck on the road for 2 hours and on a biscuit wheel. The welcoming was very brief, please sign the indemnity form. Due to us not receiving the brochure a day before the arrival, we could not plan well alhead. We were now tired and ordered 2 toasted cheese sandwiches for "late lunch" 4 slices of toast with butter on it and 2 slabs of processed cheese arrived. (At R60 per serving) The owner after the effect explained that there should have been salad and chips with it. She requested my banking details, I guess for a refund. It is not about the Money. It is about the inconvenience and the misinformation. We stayed in self catering accomodation for the past 15 days. We know how the world works. No one wants to stop over at a 25km dirt road detour on their way home with no proper directions. Due to getting lost and a blown tyre as a direct result we could also not do the game drive on a biscuit wheel. That was one of the things we looked forward to.
