Homestay Hoa Thao

We absolutely loved it there! I mean, if you want to experience the warm-hearted people of North Vietnam, don‘t look any further. We arrived - after a horrible 7h "sleeper" bus - at half past two in the morning and were welcomed with open arms. Breakfast is amazing with a stunning view over the rice fields. The beds could be a bit softer, but you won’t complain after all day hiking around the stunning valley. Good food in the village is hard to find, so look for a pho place just when you enter the main part of town called "ẨM THỰC DÂN TỘC TÂY BẮC" (it‘s not on Google Maps). They only serve pho, but it‘s authentic and delicious. We could not have wished for more visiting this beautiful place. If you think about going north, skip Sapa, come to Mu Chang Chai and stay at Hoà Thào‘s!

I wish I could give more than 10 to this place because our stay here exceeded all our expectations! The place is beautiful, just like the photos, and the location is amazing—right in front of rice fields. However, the most exceptional part is the attention and kindness of the owners, who went above and beyond to fulfill our every need, making our experience here truly remarkable. I recommend this place to everyone who’s looking for a great stay in Mu Cang Chai!
