Seaside Chapel Escape Character Home Near Beach Sleep 5

The general aesthetics and the character of the property was amazing. It catered for all our needs. There was a good and functioning kitchen which is a must as we like to cook our own food when we go to jobs. The tv had youtube premium too. we liked the high vaulted ceiling and the effect of space it created. Beds were comfy and clean (no bed bugs, phew!) Pots and pans and cutlery was available too.

The window in the living space above the bedroom is rotting and we were scared to open it in case it fellout. Also, that space there could do with blinds or curtains as it got really bright in there.

Location and outdoor space. The property on first impressions was quaint (previously was a chapel). The host was pleasant and friendly and addressed issues raised (fan not working, no insect spray)

The place could definitely do with an overhaul, paintwork, signs of damp, needs a deep clean. We had an ant infestation. The mattress protector was covered in stains and the flooring covers obviously had been peed on by previous dogs, as our dogs were keenly sniffing the flooring with great interest. I've detest writing reviews that slam a property (we did have a lovely time) but I wouldn't be telling the truth if I checked all areas as perfect. The bins in the outside area were directly parallel to the kitchen door, lots of flies. I did mention the ants but none of the other points to the owner. The ants must be a usual occurrence as he said there was insect spray in a cupboard in the kitchen, however, the ants had cleared by the morning. The toilet did smell of the sewers, but this is a usual occurrence in properties in busy town, overload of people living there, blocking the sewers. I'm really sorry to write this but I hope it helps the owner make some improvements and maybe then can rest easy knowing they people will return. At this point we wouldn't return to the chapel, sadly.

Great location, very central with quick access to all amenities.

It felt quite tired with damaged furniture, previous signs of mould and untidy plaster coming off walls. Wet room door was not suitable and you could tell where the water damage had occurred. Double bed had tough springs that you could really feel. There was a streetlight directly by the bedroom outer doors which let light in all night. Chewing gum was found on the bedroom floor. Toilet brush was filthy and fell apart upon use.

Liked location ,beds comfy the. Fact it's unique ,and Nice outdoor garden for my dog to chill.

Neeed of bigger fridge freezer nothing else.

Excellent cottage. Really unusual and unique. Everything you require. Great value. Lovely living room.

Parking could be an issue at busier times.

The location was great for access to the seaside and Great Yarmouth in general. Lovely quirky property and nicely furnished.

Lovely furnishings, spacious, and everything you need for a short stay. Loved the easy process of booking and the location was fantastic for walking to the beach, swimming pool , Sealife Centre, and Pleasure Beach.

I understand why the code wasn't sent until the property was ready, I just think I would have preferred contact in the morning to tell me everything was on track as I worried all morning I wasn't going to receive the key code etc. But that didn't affect our stay or anything, just a personal preference. ( As always worry things will go wrong!)
