Green House Capri

Meglio specificare la distanza della struttura dal mare e specificare che bisogna fare o le scale più un bel tratto di strada

Titolo: Posizione scomoda e mancanza di comunicazione all'arrivo La Green House si è rivelata una grande delusione a causa della sua posizione e della scarsa comunicazione da parte dell'host. All'arrivo a Capri, l'host non ha specificato che il taxi avrebbe dovuto lasciarci a via Marucella, e non a via Corigliano, Ci siamo trovati a dover affrontare una vera e propria odissea con le valigie, costretti a scendere più di 100 scalini per raggiungere la struttura. È stato estenuante e faticoso, un inizio decisamente sgradevole per quella che doveva essere una vacanza rilassante. Il taxi ci ha lasciato a via Corigliano, abbiamo dovuto prendere un autobus e percorrere un lungo tragitto a piedi per raggiungere finalmente l'alloggio. Oltre a ciò, la posizione si è dimostrata estremamente scomoda anche per le attività quotidiane. Per raggiungere il supermercato più vicino è necessario fare sempre lo stesso tragitto, con tutte quelle scale da salire e scendere. In definitiva, l'esperienza non è stata all'altezza delle aspettative. Sarebbe opportuno che la struttura si organizzasse meglio per l'accoglienza degli ospiti, magari offrendo un servizio di facchinaggio all'arrivo e alla partenza.

The house is spacious, comfortable and easy to use. It gives us a real feeling of living in Capri like a local. The terrace is great with an amazing view and even had a hammock. Two spacious bedrooms with double beds and AC, two bathrooms, a spacious living room with AC and a full kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen has a glass ceiling that brings in cosy natural light. I believe it is a great way to feel like a local living in Capri. The house was around 10 minutes from Marina Grande (Capri Port) and around 15 minutes from Capri City Centre. It's worth it if you have good health and mobility and not a lot of luggage. There are two markets close by, although both with stairs on the way there. The hostess was very attentive, replied quickly via WhatsApp and went there when we had an issue to be checked.

It was hard to find and reach the location. Our family members had to pick us up half way. Not even on Google Maps it is possible to make a route there. From the port you have 3 flights of stairs going up and 1 going down to reach the house. It was quite exhausting in 5 days but I believe most of the places in Capri will be like this unless you stay in a few 5-star hotels that you can reach by taxi. There were some aspects they can improve around electrical capacity, a leaking shower, and a lack of wine glasses (we're in Italy!). The paper sheet with house rules could be more complete including more information and tips and tricks about the house and even some local tips can be nice.
