PLGBLovely location, and the woods provided fun for the kids. The double bed was incredibly comfy. The single futon beds were adequate, and the spare blankets were appreciated. The log fire provided tons of heat and was very easy to use. Plenty of logs and kindling supplied by the owners. Lovely bonus of games and books to use during our stay. Communications were great and the owners are very friendly :)
However, two out of four of us felt the unpleasant smell in the Yurt to be overwhelming, and really not something we could have tolerated for more than one night. We are experienced campers and have not experienced a smell like this before. It wasn’t a matter of lack of general cleanliness, everything appeared tidy and clean. Assume it was end of season and recent bad weather causing the bad smell, but it did mean we wouldn’t risk another visit, despite the surroundings and otherwise lovely accommodation. Clearly this is much loved space which is thoughtfully decorated.
GBwe loved the peaceful location, the yurt had a fire so we were very warm! Hot running water, lovely selection of books which kids loved!!!
could do with more stony paths. it was muddy between kitchen area and yurt, shower was cool, be prepared for no fridge, it was fine for us with only one night and autumn, but in summer take small uht milk cartons to open each day,and leave any food that needs keeping cold at home! Or eat it quickly!! 😋

GBWe had a wonderful stay. The yurt location was beautiful and peaceful. It right next to a magical wood and river. We loved being able to sleep altogether in the same room with the log burner.
The yurt had a slight smell, but this is not unusual for canvas. Other than that, there was nothing we didn't like.

The shower was very very hot and the sign says the temperature cannot be changed. That just needs to be attended to.

GBWe had a perfect night's stay in Wilding Yurt. The weather was exceptionally kind and we love the peace and quiet of this area. The yurt is very comfortable and had everything we needed.
