Everything was perfect ,peaceful and tranquil setting .

Tout était parfait. Sandra et Willie sont des hôtes très accueillants adorables et toujours de bons conseils. Le logement est très propre et dispose de tout le nécessaire pour passer un excellent séjour. Au réveil, nous avons pu observer à 2 pas de notre logement des girafes, des impalas. Au coucher du soleil, les zèbres. Concernant les activités, foncez les yeux fermés. Nous avons pris le package entier et avons passé une incroyable journée riche en partage. Ne passer pas à côté du barbecue proposé par Sandra et Willie, c'est un pur régal. Un seul mot pour notre sejour : AMAZING

The property is absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful — perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything was clean and well cared for, and the atmosphere was calm throughout our stay. The only thing I missed was the presence of animals, which would have made the experience feel even more connected to nature. Still, a lovely place overall and highly recommended for those seeking tranquility.

Five-Star Stay at Idube Guest House! We had the most wonderful experience staying at Idube Guest House in Winterton. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The lodge is self-catering and thoughtfully equipped — we didn’t need a single thing! Everything was perfectly in place, making our stay incredibly comfortable and convenient. One of the most unforgettable parts of our stay was the wildlife. We were lucky enough to watch giraffes roam peacefully right from our terrace — they came so close, it felt surreal. It was such a calming and beautiful experience to see them up close in their natural surroundings, along with other wildlife that made the stay feel even more special. The owner was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It truly felt like a home away from home. The views from the guest house were absolutely breathtaking, and the cozy fireplace inside was a BIG bonus— especially during these winter evenings. Every detail was taken care of, and it made for a peaceful and memorable getaway. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

Een prachtig huis / appartement op mooi privé park. Alles was meer dan perfect. Gastvrijheid, mooie uitzicht! Mooie kamers, goed ingerichte keuken! Het waren heerlijke dagen om onze vakantie af te sluiten! Komen heel graag nog meer terug!

Wat een gastvrije eigenaren zijn Sandra en Willie! Daarnaast is het appartement/bovenverdieping heel schoon en verzorgd. Alles wordt met liefde en zorg onderhouden. Er is koffie en thee, hout voor de openhaard en de gebruikelijke toiletartikelen. Buiten staat de braai helemaal schoon te popelen om te worden gebruikt. Het zwembad ligt er mooi bij, maar voor ons in de winterperiode te koud. Prima uitvalbasis voor hikes in het prachtige Drakensberg.

Wij hebben alleen kleine dieren gezien rondom het huis. Je kunt samen met Willie op de farm op zoek naar giraffen en zebra's, die er voldoende zijn binnen de hekken van dit landgoed. Maar na 3 weken wild parks was dat voor ons niet meer nodig. Enige minpunt is iets waar de eigenaren niets aan kunnen doen, maar in dit hele gebied rondom Drakensberg is de armoede erg zichtbaar. Dit leidde niet tot een onveilig gevoel, wel voor een beeld van het grote contrast en harde werkelijkheid.
