Archanes The Loft

El diseño de la casa, la decoración, todos y cada uno de los detalles pensados para crear una experiencia de absoluta comodidad y calidez. La situación en el entorno alto del Valle pero dentro del pueblo, convierten a este espacio único en un lugar del que no apetece marcharse.

Everything was phenomenal! I can't speak more highly of the place,facilities, location, and host. The loft is spacious, extremely clean, well equipped, and incredibly comfortable. George the host was great even leaving some food, snacks, and Cretan raki and wine for us it the refrigerator-true Greek hospitality! The views are breathtaking, and the village very quaint and quiet. I highly recommend the loft in Archanes, one of my best stays ever!!!!

It was a perfect stay!

Very spacious and well furnished apartment with view, good A./C, large deck with dining tables and sunbeds; kitchen with lots of dishes, cutlery and pots, stove top and oven, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster and panini press. Wonderful bathroom shower, extra towels, comfortable bed. Blackout drapes for easier sleeping in the bedroom and living room. Hosts kindly left us lots of food and drinks in the large fridge. Also helped to carry our luggage up the many stairs. Wifi usually very good, except for a few hours when the whole village lost Internet access, which was restored within an hour. Location was quiet, and convenient for Heraklion Airport or for visiting Knossos.

As is common in Crete, roads to get there were very steep and narrow; hard to find some roads because they looked like small lanes or driveways between village houses that were built up right to the edges of the streets. Tricky to pass another car, make tight turns (without adequate vision of oncoming cars) or drive in and out of the provided parking space. Sometimes the usually hot water was only lukewarm. Shower floor was slippery despite some ridges in floor. Challenging to figure out many lighting switches. No light over the dining table, and the lighting in the bedroom was too low. Wooden dining chairs looked nice but were so heavy that it was hard to pull them in and out. There was a drainboard beside the sink, but no dish rack to put the dishes in for air drying.

We like everything in the apartment, clean,spacious, well equipped, easy access, great location, beautiful views.

Πολύ όμορφος χώρος! Καθαρά και προσεγμένα όλα τα δωμάτια και οι εξωτερικοί χώροι! Οι ιδιοκτήτες εξυπηρετικοί και φιλόξενοι σαν να ετοίμασαν το σπίτι για δικά τους πρόσωπα. Σας ευχαριστούμε!

La vue sur la montagne, la grande terrasse ,les canapés, la quantité de vaisselle , l'ambiance d'Archanes, très belles tables en bois

El Loft es precioso, fresquito y con una terraza preciosa. Fueron muy generosos dejándonos algunas cosas de comer en la nevera, todo muy rico.

La calle para llegar es muy empinada, pero por lo demás fue genial.

Our stay was exceptional. Comfortable beds, excellent views, great AC, good shower pressure, great touches like food goodies, books, and games. The area was quiet and felt private, and truly couldn’t have asked for anything more.

The only thing has nothing to do with the property itself, but the final 2-3 minutes of driving there is very narrow, sometimes hilly, street roads so need to be a very confident driver. We are used to driving on single track hedge roads in the UK, but found this a little more challenging as surrounded by unforgiving concrete/brick buildings and cars.
