Rainbow House Pai

Location is nice. Close to the walking roads but a bit far so no crowd or noise ever. All inside nature, floral feeling all over. It was the perfect temperature to sleep at night. Nice english speaking very kind hosts, always around to ask anything. I guess it's one of the cheapest private room option around pai centerside.

We took a shared bathroom bungalow. Firstly it might be technically bungalow, but in reality, it was a concrete foundation with a roof. Some rushmat straws for walls. Very, very small rooming. No privacy whatsoever. Every facility was very old. Only mirror we had in our room was a 10x6cm barbiegirl toy mirror(no joke). No closets with lids, no fridge, no nothing basicaly. It was the least expectations mode kind of a visit. But it didnt felt quite authentic, on the contrary like we were obliged to this. Biggest downside for me that; we learned that if we were to stop by as travelers, we were gonna pay %25 less than we paid booking days earlier. This thing should be rewarding, not fooling. I dont know its about the agreement with booking or their own mess policy, but i got a little offended by this. To being fair, i didnt count down and gave it a 7/10. We had a nice time. No big deals and hosts were super kind. But other than that; for the pricetag, our experience all around Thailand, this doesn't score good.

Family run business! Very kind and helpful. Beautiful gardens, surrounded by the sounds of nature - birds, crickets and everything else. The rustic bungalows are clean and simple - perfectly suited to the environment. Budget friendly! Rainbow House is perfect for solo travellers/backpackers - this place is usually fully booked in advance. Close to city centre. Everything is only a short walk away.

It’s very hard to complain about this place. Let’s be real here. If you expecting a five star (*****) stay and facilities - book a $60/night hotel. This is THE BEST budget friendly hostel in Pai and is usually fully booked for this reason. Don’t complain , be grateful, support the family. They appreciate you! ✌️✌️

So chill and beautiful nature. Frisky Parakeet voices, nice bungalows. Morning coffee or tea available, cost effective and very good distance for center 🥰 we stayed 1 week and we increased twice for accommodation 🤣

You get what you pay for and to be honest this had everything you need. Nothing flash but it does the job. The scenery around the rooms is beautiful and the owners are amazing and very friendly and always offering a hand. Definitely Worth the $ if you are on a budget like us. It’s not too far out from anything either. We would stay there again.

Rainbow house is probably the best place I've stayed in Northern Thailand, absolutely great! A family owned business run by the kindest people! Excellent place for both longterm and short term stay. Went for a week and spent 1 1/2 month. Very good location, walking distance from food market etc but at the same time quiet and cozy. There is a small beautiful pond with fish and plenty of nice spots around the property to hang around and either chill or socialize. The owners are very discrit but helpful at the same time, always there for you and your needs. I'm not the type of person that stays in ' shared bathroom ' places but in Rainbow House I never ever had any difficulties coping with it. The facilities were always clean and more than enough for the amount of persons staying there. Coming to accomodation, Pai in general is a bit of a difficult place. Prices are high for what you get. Almost all the places have problems with hot water ( makes total sense, water comes straight from the mounstains so it's really cold and the small heaters that use in the guesthousei don't have enough time to heat it up), noise from the bars around Pai and maybe cold in the night. People that come at this part of Thailand need to have this things in their mind and don't expect miracles. Taken under consideration these factors plus the price of a room in Rainbow House plus the super kind owners I strongly believe that this place, Rainbow House is by far one of the best places one can stay in Pai. Sai & Noi, thank you for everything and can't wait to see you again!

The beautiful garden, it was a quiet place where one can relax in nature, but close to everything, friendly staff. The bed was comfortable..

A few additions would have made the stay perfect: kettles in the rooms, a hairdryer, some shelves for clothes (there was nowhere to store them).

Super nice bungalow style accommodation in such good surroundings away from the loudness and party of pai, staff are super friendly and free water and coffee is available

Shower and wifi weren’t the best but for the money you cannot complain

- spacious and simple bungalow with mosquito net - calmer area, but walking distance to the center - Nice and relaxing garden with “private” hammock - Free single cup of instant coffee each morning and drinking water - Hosts were always welcoming, gave some suggestions and were always available - Clean room and area around - Even though simple and antique facilities, it has some charm and a fair price

- luke warm shower and manual toilet flush - WiFi signal is not the best - Blanket for 2 people is a bit small for colder nights - we could probably have asked for one more - They have some birds in a cage
