USWe messaged and called the host for how to get in hours before our reservation and they never responded. Then we arrived and they still didnt respond at the scheduled time of our check in. After two hours of waiting and talking to booking.com about our problem, the host told booking.com they could no longer host us and didnt give any reason. Horrible communication and left us homeless if it wasnt for booking stepping in and helping.

I strongly do not recommend staying at this accommodation. First, the host deliberately hid a huge cleaning fee in small print. When I booked this accommodation on Booking.com, the prominently displayed room price was JPY 9,240. However, the final amount charged to my credit card was JPY 24,173. The large difference was mainly caused by a mandatory cleaning fee, which was not presented clearly enough during the booking process and appeared only in small text. The host’s response was polite on the surface, but cold and unhelpful. Second, the floor in the room was extremely dirty, which made the expensive cleaning fee completely unjustifiable. Third, there was no luggage storage service available either before check-in or after check-out. Fourth, the entire room was extremely, extremely, extremely cold 🥶
JPチェックイン時に既に暖房をたいていてくださって、とても暖かくホッとしました。各部屋にも暖房、エアコンが整っていて人によって温度感が違っても困りません。 調理器具、食器等が揃っていて快適に過ごせました。また、1階の土間（リビング）にはサンダルを用意してくださっていたので、都度靴を履く必要がなく日本人でも快適に過ごせます。部屋の全てが清潔です。玄関を出たら坂の下に湖が見えて、とても清々しい景色でした。 日帰り入浴（万世閣レイクサイドテラスに行かせていただきました）やコンビニまでも徒歩圏内で、駐車場も数分歩く程度でそんなに気になりません。
最初、鍵が回りにくくて開けるのに数分かかりました…それだけですが（ちゃんと開きました！）

AUWe had a great stay at this spacious home, which was perfect for a big group. Having two toilets and one bathroom made things very convenient, and the hot water never ran out even with many people showering. The location is also a great base, being close to Rusutsu. Overall, a comfortable and practical place to stay!
