Rose bank Retreat

The beds were comfy and the location was good. Easy access to the beach and a nice walk to enjoy the swimming pool on the site next door.

The cleanliness of the caravan was disappointing. There was lots of food still in the fridge and freezer from previous occupants. We found two rotten swedes at the back of a cupboard which I believe is what caused the fusty smell and also flies in the caravan. The kettle was full of limescale to the point we didn't use it. We used a saucepan to boil the water. The curtains have patches in the lining so we could see the light coming through the wear. One curtain was coming off its rails. The whole place needs deep cleaning and some money spending on it to update the curtains and appliances. We couldn't park the car at the caravan as the caravan behind us parked their car outside theirs, which blocked us in. So we ended up moving the car and just parking it in one of the parking bays.

The caravan was comfortable and clean. The site had everything you need. Would book again.

Nice and cosy

We loved the location of the caravan, Also the home from home feel it had with all the little added extras. Communication with the owner was excellent, extremely friendly. We're looking forward to coming back again in the future and staying a little longer next time. 1000% recommend staying here.

Only minor issue was the boiler wouldn't relight but a quick conversation and park security came out, they were busy which was understandable over the bank holiday weekend.

Everything, was brilliant

Caravan had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Bins had used nappies in them, poo all around one of the toilet bowls and the bedding didn't look as if it had been changed. The owner was advised and apologised, stated that a cleaner was supposed to have cleaned the van prior to our arrival but didn't offer to rectify the situation.

The owner was really communicative and tried to resolve any issues straight away. There were lovely little extras such as toys for kids and home comforts. The caravan was beautifully decorated and the seating area outside gave some great stargazing views at night and Seaview during the day. Unlike other caravans it had everything you need in the kitchen.

When we arrived there was no gas, it was too late at night to let anyone know so we had quite a cold evening and no hot water the next morning. The owner did sort out a new bottle but when it came the boiler didn't work, we had to spend our time organising this to be fixed. The WiFi didn't work to start with until we restarted it, we never got the fire or heaters in the bedrooms to work. If we stayed again we would come in warmer weather!

Lovely little caravan on a busy site, friendly helpful host, lowest price by a considerable amount. 10/10
