Breakfast was great

Amazing location, staff, food, room and facilities. Everyone helped in organizing my birthday surprise, and the hotel manager was very helpful when my partner was sick. We truly felt at home!

Very comfortable hotel located in a vineyard. We made a last minute booking and arrived while the hotel team had their Christmas event. Therefore the atmosphere was very friendly with kids playing around and a bit hectic as the hotel was working in minimum mode so its employees could enjoy this moment (so hectic here is not to be understood as a bad thing, it is totally fair and nice that the hotel's team is having their Christmas moment). Yet, we were welcomed and taken care of very nicely, and we were even given a room upgrade to compensate for the fact that the hotel was not in full mode that evening (for instance the restaurant was closed to clients as the hotel's team event was taking place there). Still, later after the event while the employees were busy cleaning and preparing everything for the restaurant to be back to clients the day after, a lady was there to make me taste the wine so I could buy a few bottle from the estate. We had to leave extremely early on the morning and we just left the key in the room, but so we could not enjoy the breakfast there. Just a word of caution: if, like us, you need to take the first morning train to Dar leaving shortly after 5, make sure to have the hotel arrange a driver for you. We arranged it on our own through Bolt but the driver never showed up. We had anticipated the possibility so we had enough time to walk to the train station, which is 2km away. But googlemap is not yet updated (as of December 2024) to account for the brand new railway, so the itinirerary it suggests to walk to the train station is no longer valid. We had to find our own way in the night, it was a bit stressfull but we made it (fun memory afterwards :) ). So just to be sure: walking from Domiya to the train station is totally doable, just make sure to clear the itinerary with the hotel staff before ! (And keep a safe buffer of 30-40 minutes to walk the way)

Dominya Estate exceeded our expectations, from the pickup at the airport to the friendly staff and service of meals we were very safe and comfortable. The restaurant staff were very friendly and polite to give us time to talk about our plans during our stay. We had a memorable stay and not hesitate in choosing this property when we return one day. Thank you for organising our transfer to and from the airport, this was a great relief.
