City of Magicians Yurt&Desert Experience

A bit remote, quiet area. Place has potential. Yurts are nice although you need to watch out for your head and the door frame is very low.

- a bit outside of Khiva (we knew that) in practice trip to Khiva takes at least 20min (with time to order a taxi) - food is ok. Breakfast is fine, in the restaurant is ok, but we had many better options during our trip in Uzbekistan - not much things to do in the area (maybe this was a bit because of the strong wind we have experienced)

Ich wollte unbedingt während unsere Usbekistan Reise in einer Jurte übernachten. Zum Glück habe ich diese Unterkunft entdeckt, nahe Xiva. Die Jurte ist innen sehr luxuriös ausgestattet und gleichzeitig kuschelig. Ein modernes Bad und ein super bequemes Bett. Das Restaurant ist in einer großen Jurte (zumindest war das bei unserem Aufenthalt so, da schlechtes Wetter, normalerweise kann man wohl im Freien am Fluss sitzen) Die Speisekarte bot eine gute Auswahl zu günstigen Preisen. Das Frühstück wurde als Buffet angeboten mit großer Auswahl. Insgesamt ist es eine sehr schöne und weitläufige Anlage, die man bei gutem Wetter sicher noch besser nutzen kann.

Frühstück gibt es 8 Uhr, doch um die Zeit war vieles noch nicht hergerichtet, das schien etwas planlos.

Новый аутентичный отель, находится ~в 20 минутах езды от исторического центра Хивы. Вокруг нет ничего, но нам именно этого и хотелось: тишина и звездное небо. Большая территория, чистые свежие номера, очень сытные и вкусные завтраки. Отдельно хочу отметить всех сотрудников и в частности генерального менеджера Марию: относятся к гостям с большим вниманием и заботой

We were very well welcomed by English speaking staff who were very kind and helpful for all our requests from the beginning to the end. They recommended a choyxona at 15 min by walk, next to the lake, it was a great experience. The place is so quiet and peaceful. The yurt was very well decorated, the A/C was appreciated and the private bathroom in the yurt was a big comfort with good shower pression. The breakfast was huge, different everyday, very delicious and the breakfast zone is so nice too. It is a great place for stargazing and also bird watching next to the lake.

When we arrived we were the only clients, the restaurant was closed for restoration (but we didn’t know) and we found ourselves without a car in a place far from everything, without any animation, market, restaurant. It was a bit surprising after the comments that we have read. The bed in the yurts was way too hard for our taste. Otherwise all was good. it must be a great experience during the touristic season, in our case it felt kind of abandoned but still with very helpful and kind staff/management.

The City of Magicians Hotel left me with the brightest impressions! The complex is located in the middle of nature — quiet, peaceful, and very cozy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are always attentive and caring. What I especially remember is the safari trip into the wild desert and the evening show program — it made the stay truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to combine comfort with adventure!

The location was good around a nice lake. The manager was the highlight of the place, he went out of his way to make our stay pleasant and help us in every way possible.

The property was mostly closed and under renovation. The manager mention it was the end of the season. Why were they accepting guests then? And why Booking.com did not mention that in their website?
