Facility was nice. Brandnew kitchenette, clean rooms, little balcony (not like in the picture with yellow sofa but we can open window and enjoy just a little bit of lake view). I understand the confusion that was mentioned in the previous review. There was no upstairs while we had stairs (blocked on the top, just stairs), although we had living room+kitchen en bedroom, batheroom on the same floor. (2nd floor) Which was no problem for us. Just wanted to clarify this for the people who book to stay here. Location is superb if you want to visit the castle and lake front.

I booked more than 2 months before the stay. I asked about how parking works as it was not very straight forward from the translated reviews. I asked via booking several times, no clarity or on-time response from the owner. It is not handy if you get response 2 hrs before arrival, when you have a rental car and want to make sure where to head. In fact, it is a parking lot, 5 min by car from the property. The parking + arranged shuttle service is €15. It would have been nice if the owner clarified how this works in advance. We had to wait and wait and wait for the response, not knowing where we could park and load lugguge, where we eat after we park, parking is an important info when we travel by rental car! We headed to the parking address, but the QR code to enter the parking was sent only after we got rejected and had to turn our car at the entrance. When we enter the town of Sirmione, we understood why the parking had to be 5 min far away. But how we travellers are supposed to expect all that? The owner should have put the clear info here at Booking, or answer the question on time, at least the evening before the checkin. Now the best part; When we were waiting outside the parking entrance because we didn’t the the QR code on time, the owner sent me whatsapp msg that we owe how many euro in total. I already pre-paid the room, and I was pretty sure I only had to pay city tax and the parking. When we entered the room with the wife of the property owner, she was very kind btw, we were put on the phone and he said smth like “you need to read the booking confirmation and room is not yet paid”. I had to check my bank detail to prove that I pre-paid. I was right, but no apology given at all. I used booking more than 100 times and I believe the property owner needs to learn how the reservation via booking.com works and about basic hospitality.

Great location if you prefer to stay in the castle. Very good parking service too, so no stress with that. There is even a transfer service which is in fact lovely.
