Turla's Apartment

Very comfortable, air-conditioned apartment in a village location 2km from Dassia town and beach. Countryside/mountain view from the spacious balcony - perfect for enjoying Corfu's fine produce, colourful scenery and the birdsong and butterflies. The kind and generous hosts made our stay all the more enjoyable and regularly checked in with us to ensure we were happy with everything. They shared their wonderful home-grown produce too - such a treat to cook and eat! The village centre, 10 minutes walk from the apartment, has two good supermarkets and a couple of restaurant/cafes. Dassia town has a good choice of restaurants, cafes, a couple of bars, a bakery, good supermarkets, a pharmacy plus all the usual tourist services, without being overcrowded. Dassia beach is very clean, good for families, with a few attractive tavernas and beach bars. Dassia is a great base for visiting Corfu Town (an absolute must for exploring a rich cultural history, quality shopping and fabulous food - just 20 minutes by car or a regular bus service), the best beaches on the east and west side of the island and the national roads for other attractions. We rented a car throughout our stay, but if you can manage a challenging uphill walk to the village, Dassia has everything you need and day trips around the island are easily arranged.

We enjoyed everything about the apartment and its location but if access to restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance is essential, accommodation in Dassia town may be a better choice for you.
