• The landlord monitors the holiday apartment with video surveillance in a way that appears to violate both the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Romanian data protection law 190/2018. • Communication from the landlady is very unusual and problematic: even after issues had been discussed and resolved, additional and extremely high payment demands were later sent via Booking.com. • After our departure, we were harassed for days with repeated phone calls and messages demanding extra payment, allegedly for a towel they claimed we had taken. In reality, we had taken nothing, and we even did a formal handover with the landlady before leaving, during which she raised no concerns at all. • When you rent the entire house, you are actually only renting three double bedrooms. The shared kitchen space is separate, and there is no possibility to lock or secure the living room area for private use. • There is no air conditioning at all, making the house extremely hot and uncomfortable during the summer months. • The furnishing is very minimal and feels completely impersonal and cold, with only the most basic and necessary pieces of furniture provided. It gives the impression of being set up without any care or effort to make guests feel comfortable or at home. • Overall, the property is significantly overpriced for what is actually offered, especially considering the lack of amenities, privacy, and comfort. • The pots, pans, and cutlery in the kitchen are extremely old, worn out, and well past their prime, making cooking there quite unpleasant.

Everything. The village of Vestem is perfectly situated to explore the lovely area around in and around Sibiu. Margareta’s house is a modern clean comfortable house with a shared kitchen that has all you need to self cater. Our bed was big and comfy. And bathroom clean, new and worked well. Corina’s instructions and hospitality were exceptional. As was her English.

This stay was absolut amazing. It was newly renovated and the owners were very welcoming and helpful and mad me feel like a guest in their home. And waking up in this little village to the cows walking down the main street was absolutely lovely. I felt perfectly safe as a solo female traveler.
