The owner is very kind, he received us after check-in time since our train was delayed for several hours, and he also advised us on how to get to Kathmandu, informing us about the real prices and frequency of the buses. Also the room was super big and very clean.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Gokul PG Homestay. The owner of the homestay came to pick me up and had a very warm, friendly smile. He is the best homestay owner I have ever met in my travelling life. When I was in an Uber he helped me feel safe by following the driver, with WhatsApp, and spoke to him when the driver went the wrong way. He took me on a day tour by his own car when another taxi cancelled. He is very interesting and funny, I really enjoyed the trip with him. The room is big, with a kettle (I love tea so appreciate this), he provides filtered water, and he gave me a new blanket on a cold night. It was also great value. Thank you Arvind for the lovely stay. Next time I return in Gorahpur, I will definitely come back.

The owner of the place, Mr Arvin, is a very interesting person. From the first moment exhibited a very good mood and showed that he's a great conversationalist (with perfect English). The room I was given (I guess the best in the whole building) was very very good, one of the bests I've ever been to in India. Huge space, featuring a desk, a seating area, and even some training equipment to do exercise. He even borrowed me an electric kettle, which was awesome to prepare coffee while working. Notice as well that the hot water shower worked perfectly, which as you might know is something you can't never take for granted while traveling around Asia ;) For foreign visitors, I highly recommend two very good places nearby the homestay: ˝Hot Kettle˝ (awesome chai & butter bun, the manager speaks a bit of Spanish and it's one of the kindest people ever) and "Miss Khauji" (women-run business with awesome dosas, very good Manchurian, etc.)

As many other guests have pointed out, it's complicated to locate the place, since it's not easily findable in Google Maps. In addition, after ate arrival in the bus station, most drivers don't want to take you to the place or they don't know where it is. Therefore, if you arrive in India without data in your mobile phone, you're screwed up. In my case I was lucky someone offered me their phone to call Mr Arvin, and he offered me to pick me up from the station at a modest price. Already told him how inconvenient is this, so hopefully he can fix the problem as soon as possible for future guests. For the time being, asking him to share with you the exact location in Google Maps (different to the location that appears when you look for the name of the place provided by the host) might be your best bet. Another detail which could be improved are the bed sheets. They are from this kind of thick, non-soft material, which doesn't look easy (or even feasible) to properly wash at high temperatures between guests. Something to take into account if you're sensitive to dust mites (I needed to sleep full-clothed, and even then, skin was itchy).
