Location was excellent, facilities in the room were good.

No air conditioning rooms extremely hot. Having to use your phone to enter your room and building was annoying.

This hotel was a bit of a surprise. Run at very low cost, though expensive by UK standards. A somewhat different concept in hotels. The details in the next section should have been made clear by Booking.com, as there was an element of mis-selling. Positive features: 1. Very nice, large reception area and terrace outside facing the street. 2. Roof terrace. 3. Excellent proximity to the museums and harbour, and no more than 10-20 minutes anywhere on foot. 4. Close proximity to one of the most beautiful squares in Oslo, quiet, with oldest restaurant in Oslo, and opposite the original central bank building. 5. Pleasant staff. 6. Very nice large room facing the street - no. 205.

This hotel was a bit of a surprise. 1. We had not realised it was wholly digital and there have been very many complaints about this online. We received physical keycards from the reception which worked fine. We ignored the app, where you had to upload your passport etc. We found this disturbing as the method is definitely not secure - though staff claimed it was secure. 2. We had not realised the "fabulous" breakfast was NOT a typical buffet breakfast within the hotel. Instead you crossed the street to "the green hen" cafe opposite, with the choice of porridge or avocado toast or other possibilities but not a mix of these. Freshly squeezed orange juice and hot drinks and croissants are also available. It wasn't bad, but had we known we would have gone elsewhere. 3. The approx. 28 rooms with interior courtyard views (which we chose for expectation of a quiet room) had NO opening windows and no fresh air - except what comes through the hotel's air conditioning system. We were alarmed and therefore upgraded rooms to one where we could open the window. Noisier, as on the street, but larger and definitely far preferable. 4. No cleaning whatsoever was done during our 4 night stay. We could help ourselves to extra towels etc. This made it more private and saved resources, but again none of this was made clear anywhere.

The automated checking in was a bit complicated for multiple rooms, however the staff sorted it out :)

Had a wonderful 3-night stay at Revier. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable, and flawlessly designed. The absolute highlight, however, was having a Michelin-starred restaurant right downstairs. It made our trip incredibly convenient and structurally unforgettable. Walking distance to all the attractions in Oslo as well. Highly recommend for both the stay and the world-class dining!
