Colonel’s Retreat

O hotel fica localizado em uma região residencial e tranquila. As instalações são muito boas e confortáveis, além de o local ser bastante silencioso. O hotel e o quarto eram bem limpos e havia ar condicionado e aquecedor no quarto. Além disso, havia chá, café e um bolinho no rooftop, que era muito lindo. Aconselho também a jantarem no hotel, que é uma experiência completa indiana, muito saborosa e aconchegante. Os funcionários também eram super atenciosos.

Não houve nada do que eu não tenha gostado.

Location was central but quiet, felt safe and secure, rooms were lovely and we were given a late check out which was brilliant. Staff were all really nice and helpful.

Colonel's Retreat was a great place to stay in New Delhi. When we arrived by car, the staff were very helpful - the property has a main building, where the rooftop restaurant is located, and a second building. Our room was in the second building which is diagonally opposite across the street. It was very quiet and while we were there we saw very few other guests. The breakfast was fine with reasonable choice and there is a lift to the rooftop which was handy. Additionally when we arrived lunch was readily available to order. The room was also very large and comfortable, well lit and had strong WiFi.

The location is not ideal. As we had never been to Delhi before and weren't familiar with the city layout, it wasn't easy to get around. The area is a very safe one in Defence Colony, however it was very confusing how to find the nearest metro station and a fair walk to any restaurants etc, so you would be best finding a driver or booking a tuk tuk. Otherwise you are quite limited to only eating meals in the hotel restaurant, which is very good but slightly higher prices than you would get locally.

Everything is great. The location. The people. The rooms. The breakfast.

I can't rate this hotel high enough - it's charming, the welcome warm, the room comfortable, and the little touches numerous enough to know the owners are thoughtful and are genuine in their concern for the hotel's comfort.

Price of food and alcoholic drinks

The rooms were functional and very clean. Had the flavour of a retro accommodation. Staff were super friendly and check in and check out were extremely efficient The roof top restaurant was an unique experience, and the breakfast spread was well curated. The location was pretty convenient with 30 minutes Uber drive to both airport and railway stations, which we used. .

The room layout can be better to facilitate luggage opening.
