Excellent dinner

Extremely friendly staff, very welcoming. The food, breakfast and dinner, is amazing. You do not want to eat at any other place anymore.

Chambre plutôt spacieuse. Le petit déjeuner est bon. Quartier sécurisé et calme. Personnel serviable et sympathique.

La chambre manquait cruellement d'un peu de décoration, et faisait vraiment vide et dénuée de charme pour le prix que nous avons payé (rajouter juste un ou deux tableaux sur les murs et le tour serait joué!). Le petit dej dans un autre bâtiment à 50m (pas loin mais peu pratique). Le quartier sécurisé a pour désavantage d'avoir presque toutes les portes fermées le soir. Hôtel sous la trajectoire des avions qui atterrissent à l'aéroport, relativement bruyant malgré le calme du quartier.

The room was large. The hotel was close to a metro station.

We felt that we didn't stay in the hotel we booked and were placed in an overflow building across the road. The room we were given did not resemble the photos on Booking.com e.g. there were no pictures on the wall, it had generic and corporate looking hotel furnishings and no personnel or security on site. The complimentary water bottles were half empty. High tea was pretty pathetic with a few biscuits and a virtually finished cake. As we were leaving early, we were given a packed up breakfast which was a token effort with a pathetic cheese sandwich, a few scraps of banana bread and a carton of juice. Bearing in mind that this the most expensive hotel we stayed in over our month long tour of India, it was also the most lacking in service, character and value.

A very good and safe choice for Delhi. We arrived very late night and there was someone to wait, and guided us to our room, clean and comfortable. Next morning we woke up late but they offered a delicious breakfast. The neighbourhood is very safe and calm, perfect for a quiet sleep. You can easily move with Uber or tuk tuk to all attractions. Delhi is huge, so where ever you stay you have to move by car, or metro, which is very convenient. Everyone was very polite and helpful, like everyone in this beautiful country.

Charming hotel with friendly and efficient staff. A beautiful roof terrace bedecked with flowers where you could enjoy delicious home cooked meals and breakfast while listening to birdsong. What a lovely welcome to India!

Nothing.. Room slightly small as plenty of furniture but still very comfortable

Wonderful and stylish boutique hotel in a quiet area of Delhi. Loved the roof top restaurant that was perfect for leisurely breakfasts and dinners. We needed to increase our stay to 5 nights due to an accident and the staff and owners were extremely kind and accommodating. When departing we decided to take a quick overnight trip to Agra and the staff arranged Deveshtourtravels to pick us up an hour later. Our very safe and reliable driver made this a stress free 24 hours. I really can’t speak highly enough of Colonel’s Retreat and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Delhi.
