La Maison Bèrbere

The flat was very cosy and convenient, the kitchen has everything we needed, the mattresses were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and nice. The location is great outside the old Medina walls but we could walk to it. The host was friendly and welcoming, highly recommend it :)

I had to wait for 2 hours in the cold windy conditions of the city in a single shirt because the host wouldnt message or pick up my calls. The property is booked under 3 different names which makes it incredibly difficult to locate. Its not even on google maps. The mattress was really had. They currents were super thin allowing the streetlights to illuminate the bedroom. The windows wouldn't shut off properly, which meant you could hear everything from the street.

The apartment was very clean and with the basic facilities expected. Perfect size. Comfortable beds. Around 20min walking distance to the Medina.

I missed the washing machine. But, apart from that, it is a very good option to stay in Essaouira.

The host was friendly. The room was big enough.

In was a quite noise from outside.

Beds soft. Comfy apartment and we could park the car by the door.

The noise from the nearby mosque was intrusive. Also, the surroundings were full of litter and it was dirty. The noise from passing people, cars and scooters was constant too.

The unit is beautiful and impeccably clean, a nice and inspired renovation where everything is new, and still keeping its local identity. Youness is a wonderful host, always happy to help if you need anything. The location was perfect for me, very close to medina.

Being new, the unit still needs to build up with some details, but nothing bothered me.

Nothing to wash up or dry the dishes with but I think it was overlooked being a new apartment. Since we were there for a week the basics like a teatowel, dishsponge, washing detergent and dish rack or a small chopping board would have been useful. But overall our stay in the apartment was great and close enough to everything 😊👍
