USAfter trudging up the hill with your luggage this hotel provides a clean comfortable place to rest your weary self. (of course you could take a tuktuk!) Rooms are well appointed and very clean. The bathroom is small but clean and perfectly adequate for its intention. There is a lovely seating area on the top floor with a kitchen. You can relax on couches or sit at the tables and write postcards. :) The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Upon entering the hotel you immediately encounter a set of stairs, so no actual lobby. The third floor roof top sitting area makes up for it. I was awaken in the middle of the night by the smell of burning plastic. But this had nothing to do with the hotel.
