Ocean Guest House

This place has great potential but unfortunately attention to cleanliness is not a focus. The location is in town just a few steps from the souks & the popular hotel (serves spirits). There is no signage which is normal and the contact was able to answer right away when we messaged from La casa cafe that we arrived. He was able to help us find the place very quickly. Inside the unit has some views of the city & you can access the terrace above for beautiful sunset views. There is a neighbor that keeps a few animals- sheep, goats and more. That said, the two bedrooms are efficient & kitchen is complete. WiFi works well, there is hot water in the shower. If you prefer to be in town it’s a good location. If you have a car it is street parking only. If you have a surfboard, must negotiate the stairs & off street parking.

If they work on cleanliness & provide towels this place can increase the score & guests to perfect. The unit is still relatively new so a good cleaning will help with longer stays in the future.

Rachid met me at the bus stop and took me to the apartment a short walk away. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the room I thought I'd booked was in fact an apartment. Then we walked about 30 seconds to the bar Abertih, a watering hole teeming with travellers mostly from France. A very friendly place with excellent food situated at one end of the busy main street..

I suggested to Rachid that travellers like myself never travel with gas, so it would be wiser if he supplied the gas bottle required to use the stove. He said he would and I hope he does. If there'd been a gas bottle supplied, he would have scored a perfect 10.

Nice clean apartment with a working smart TV.Comfortable beds.Recently renovated.Rashid and his mother were nice and friendly.

At first a bit difficult to find as its down a back alleyway off /behind the main road.The map suggests a road but its not its just an alley .There is parking but its a road entry off another road.There is no sign or number on the door so I had to knock on a few before I found it with my heavy sports kit.It really needs a sign or perhaps photo of the front on the booking detail as its quite modern door and with small tree plants outside and would have been easy to find with this info.

Very good single room appartment - clean, cosy and good location.

Very nice place to stay comfortable and clean. Amazing value.
