Kings Happy House

The bed was really good 10/10.Bunks in the dorms are designed so each person has thier own little booth. Really comfortable Large mattress, and each booth has a light / eletric socket / curtain. Also nice clean kitchen for guest use and the bathrooms are kept clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful

Very friendly owner, location is good, mattress was comfy, curtains and ac was very much appreciated. Perfect for one or two nights on a budget.

Room is quite small for arranging your luggage. Cleanliness especially in the bathrooms could be improved.

Great location, really close by foot from everything (Hiri beach, restaurants, cafes, laundry…), quiet by night. The owner is extremely helpful, he gave us a second fan because it was so so hot in the room, drove us at 4:45am to Matara train Station and helped several other guests with stuff like taking the bus, talking to local for them.

We booked the private room and it was really small (no space to open backpacks) no windows, horrible lighting and EXTREMELY hot - usually we are fine with heat and just a fan but we slept badly the 4 nights we stayed. We would have preferred the dorm with the AC. The AC from the dorm is releasing the heat inside the common areas. Keep in mind there is nowhere to chill and during the hot hours it’s really tough in Hiri to find shade (not possible at the beach if you don’t spend $$). We would have really enjoyed some sun beds in the front space.

Lalith is a super nice owner that helps you out so much. Very reasonably priced in the growing area of hiriketiya. The dorms are very comfortable and the location of the hostel is amazing! It is only a very short walk to the beach. I came back and extended here multiple times, because I really enjoyed my time here!

I would definitely recommend this accomodation. The location is perfect, the beds are really comfortable and big and the owner is such an amazing person. He helps you with everything! I loved my stay here.

I have liked everything about my stay! The owner is the nicest man and very helpful, always making sure you have a comfortable stay! The location is just amazing - literally 2 minutes walk to the beach and all the restaurants, 5 min to the supermarket and liquoir shop etc. The bed was big and comfy, plug and little light and fan for everyone, curtain for privacy. It is a hostel, so do not expect luxury, it is basic, bud for very good price! The facilities were clean. You can easily meet new people, but it is not a party hostel (which I really liked as I wanted to have a good sleep and surf in the morning). Good luck! Bohomastuthi! :-)

I stayed at Happy Kings for 2 nights and i loved it. The host is super nice, he helped me with everything and made my stay so much better. I’m very happy I stayed at this hostel, i felt very safe.
