"Good value, just worried about rental car"

6.0

very well equipped and decorated, easy check in, comfortable beds, good value compared to England !

My bad, I should have checked out the parking situation in advance. We worried about our rental car with a huge excess as there were alot of loud youth around at night...we parked in the North Road carpark behind the police station, next to the police cars. People walked right past our windows all the time thru to Tescos or wherever, we weren't used to that.

"Enjoyable stay. Get a bigger double bed and it would be perfect."

7.0

Very clean and comfortable. Ideally placed for town centre shops. Double bed is only a small size. 4ft as opposed to a 4’6. TV is internet app based and not on an aerial.

Clean, everything we needed. Parking not included but very close and cheap. Shops very close.

Funny damp odour, bin way to small, no terrestrial TV.

"Gorgeous property"

10.0

Gorgeous little house with absolutely everything you'd need to make you feel at home. There were shops/supermarkets and places to eat all around. A well equipped kitchen, with good quality items to allow you to cook and eat at the property. There was also a washing machine , clothes maiden, iron and board and plenty of quality thick towels which isn't always the case when you stay away . It really was easy to stay there. The owner was also very helpful and easy to contact via the message service and always responded promptly. Can highly recommend .

We had a 2 yr old with us so the things I didn't like were mainly related to her safety and for info for those staying with tots. Firstly the old sash windows weren't something we could freely use , especially upstairs on the landing and in the bedrooms, which meant we weren't able to let fresh air in without being extra vigilant if our little one was toddling around upstairs . The second problem for us was no safety gate on the stairs which meant constantly trying to convince our little one not to climb them, especially if the windows were open too. Not an issue if you don't have young children but the main bedroom window wouldn't stay open , so we had to wedge ours open with a shoe during the day just to get air in as it was very warm at night. With the window and bedroom door having to stay closed for safety at night , it got really warm and stuffy being closed in. On a hot summer night , guests with young children would need a fan. The bedroom blinds let light in as soon as the sun came up , so we were woken at 5 am once it became light by our little one as she is used to having black outs at home . We had to spend money on a travel black out blind that stuck to the window glass for the second night . So something to consider if you're taking youngsters , but curtains would make a difference . A highchair, or booster seat would be a lovely touch for those with younger children wanting to feed them at the house . We we were able to sit our little one on a cushion at the table. Anyone younger , may struggle . The only other thing that bothered me was a round hole that had been carved out of the plaster near the front door , presumably to allow access to wiring for some reason. Again , not an issue if there's no little ones . But with an inquisitive 2 yr old , not great, so we plugged the hole with a tea towel so she wouldn't stick her hand in .
