Sacred Mandala Boutique Resort & Wellness Ubud

Has a lot of potential to be good with beautiful real estate in the jungle. Staff seemed nice but had limited language abilities.

Loud noises all day from construction and yoga classes. Pool is not properly cleaned. Stairs to get in / out of property are serious.

To get to the hotel, you have to take several steps down, and with a suitcase, it‘s hard, but we managed. The upper bedroom had no AC, so it was relatively hot during the night. When I asked for a fan, they didn‘t hesitate to bring me one.

The place is absolutely stunning, designed in a truly original way that combines Gaudí-inspired elements, Balinese influences, and unique artistry. The room was comfortable and inviting, and the staff was warm and attentive. There is a lovely small pool with breathtaking views, and yoga classes are offered on the property. Breakfast is available on-site. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back.

It’s important to note that there are over 100 stairs to navigate up and down the property. While this adds to the stunning views and peaceful atmosphere, it’s not ideal for those who may struggle with steep climbs. It was manageable for us, but if my child had been younger or if I had traveled with my mother, it would have been an issue and I wasn’t aware of this when booking. The "private" balcony is shared with other rooms nearby, and since it consists of one large sofa, it’s essentially first come, first served. However, there are other seating areas available around the property, just not directly in front of your room if it’s occupied.

Wonderful hotel! Excellent service, cozy rooms, and perfect cleanliness. The location is very convenient – everything is nearby. You can feel that they truly care about every guest. I’ll gladly come back!

Mosquitoes, but i think it is Bali problem

The views were beautiful. The walk into Ubud on the Campuchan Ridge Walk starts 15-minutes walk away past lovely warungs and cafes. The space will be really lovely once all the renovations are completed. We were also allowed to check in early which was kind.

We had workers in and out of the villa area constantly and we felt like we were in the middle of a construction site as renovations were happening all around us. We also had a 3yo and it was pretty unsafe for him with the stair situation in the villa and on the balcony. The main bed didn’t have a mosquito net and the whole house is open so we ended up covered in mosquito bites which was uncomfortable for the children. The pool was very murky and resulted in both of our children becoming sick when they accidentally swallowed a bit. We didn’t mind, but there are a lot of stairs to get down. There was no sauna as advertised and I had asked about a yoga class which I went to but when I arrived it was all in Russian which wasn’t ideal and would have been handy to know prior as I paid 20k for it.
