Suman Beach Rooms

We stayed here for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The family who runs this place is incredibly kind and made us feel at home from the very beginning. They were always happy to help and gave us great recommendations, including the beautiful Tamil temples in Nilaveli and Trincomalee. The location is perfect, just a 3-minute walk from Nilaveli Beach, and they also arranged a scooter rental for us. The room was comfortable and perfect for a few days’ stay—we didn’t spend much time there because we were out exploring all day. Breakfast was delicious, with papaya, toast, eggs and bananas, and they even offered us tea in the afternoon. Their three cats are adorable too! One of the highlights of our stay was when they invited us to their traditional seafood food stall in Nilaveli on Saturday, the busiest day of the week. They let us try some of the local food and invited us to sit with everyone there. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture that made us feel like part of the community. The warmth and hospitality of this family really made our stay special. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nilaveli.

Would love an a/c unit but n the lounge and not only the bedrooms.

The location is perfect. 3 minutes walk to Nilaveli beach, the most beautiful beach of Sri Lanka, The room is a good size and the hosts are great. Directly at the beach there is a great beach restaurant Mimico, with some beach beds that you can use to get the best beach experience. Don't forgot to to visit them when you stay in Suman Beach Rooms. Also great is that at the accommodation you can buy bottles of water, so you don't have to carry these when you do your shopping. In 15 minutes walk there is a supermarket. If you think of going to the Trincomalee area and you like the beach, this is the perfect and affordable accommodation. To visit the centre of Trincomalee, it is easy to get a Tuktuk.

The wifi was not so stable.

The owner was very friendly and kind. The provided welcome drinks. They also provided great breakfast and tea. Bathroom is very clean. Room is very spacious.
