Eel Pie Boathouse

The apps for unlocking the doors were a little difficult for the Neanderthals in our group.

Location- a real peaceful haven. Lovely light and airway living space.

The bed was a bit on the small side. The front of the building on the riverside looked a bit unloved. A tidier space with some seating would a nice addition.

Lovely, quirky, boathouse in a brilliant position. Ideal for four people. Very clean, well furnished and the host was very quick to respond to questions. He organised a parking permit for us which was really helpful. We would try to stay again as Twickenham is a interesting town with good rail links to the city.

As I am not very technical I found the Bold access a little difficult to set up and the key fob left in the property didn't work so access was limited to only those who had the app. The only other small problem was the lack of occasional tables to put drinks on while sitting on the settee.

Very bright, clean, tastefully decorated, quiet. Close to transportation. Manager responded quickly.

The owner might consider a firmer mattress on the double bed.

Loved the location, the quirkiness of the house, the facilities and it was such a quiet place to stay. We attended a wedding on the island and it was absolutely perfect for us as a family. The owners are very helpful with parking, directions and how to find it.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property but could do with tidying up the side of the house that leads to the waters edge, if that was improved with seating it would be a nice touch and the beds are quite creaky so a little restless sleep but overall it is good.

Wonderful quirky accommodation. Super clean and well equipped. Great location, easy parking. We absolutely loved our stay here.

Loved the location - it felt like a special privilege to be able to stay in such unique accommodation on Eel Pie Island, with Twickenham riverside just minutes away. The living areas were light and spacious, the shower was hot, and the wifi worked seamlessly. There is a washing machine and dryer, which was great. Overall the space looked exactly like the pictures online, including all the amazing boating artefacts.

The double bed looks amazing but was rickety/squeaky and the mattress was quite saggy. A new mattress would probably go a long way to improving how comfortable it is. The kitchen is fairly small, with the main issue being minimal bench space. Otherwise, it's very well equipped and it was perfectly suitable for our needs (which were largely breakfast as we ate out/had take away for most other meals).
