La Terraza Hostel

Perfecto para pasar una o un par de noches en flores, céntrico y si tienes que madrugar es perfecto. Todo estaba limpio aunque se ve viejo el lugar pero para una noche más que bien

Me ayudaron en lo k necesite,tenía cocina y con utensilios.Aire acondicionado pero a partir de una hora de la tarde.

Una de las duchas le falta más intensidad de agua y en la otra menos decoración y más percheros o cosas para dejar las cosas personales.

El lugar en general fue muy cómodo, una host realmente agradable, espero volver pronto

J'ai passé 2 jours dans cette hostel franchement passé votre chemin... certes le prix est bas mais vraiment pour 5euros de plus ailleurs il y a tellement mieux. Les sanitaires sont très salle, on a même pas envie de s'y doucher, les toilettes horrible ( cuvette complètement cassé,tuyau très vieux , meuble qui va s'arracher du mur ) L'endroit est sale, la cuisine ne donne vraiment pas envie de se faire a manger, après c'est normal la femme de ménage passe la journée sur son téléphone. Aucune intimité, la femme vient changer le lit a 8h pendant que tu dors . Les coussins sont nul . Pire logement depuis un moment. Je suis vraiment pas du style à râler mais la aucun effort est fait , aucun entretien, ils savent que c'est des voyageurs court terme donc ils prennent l'argent et s'en foutent complètement du bien être du voyageurs. Aussi a 23h on peut plus utiliser la cuisine et ni l'eau sinon il faut payer en plus... Franchement vous allez trouver bien mieux sur flores . Vraiment pourri , agaçant, fuyez.

Very homely place with nice shared area to relax. Amazing location very close by buses, short walk to the grocery store. Amazing family run business the owner is super lovely and relaxed. Access to the kitchen is great for early breakfasts or cooking your own dinners.

Not bad but maybe some kitchen items could be upgraded, chopping boards are getting a bit old.

The hotel is centrally located in the island, which is your open-air prison (especially at night, don’t dare to go anywhere else as it is dangerous, although much less than any other part of Guatemala). The hotelier was responsive to the messages on booking.com app prior to my arrival, which is very important for the organization of the stay: there is nothing to see in Flores itself, you have to use this town as a base to explore the temples in the area, for which you need to join a tour (Tikal can be reach by public transport, but the tour has a fair price). This hostel offers guided tours to Tikal and Yaxha and private drive to Uaxactun (don’t go to the sunrise Tikal tour: it’s super tiring and at dawn with the fog and low light you will not take good pics and will not enjoy the place; also, don’t go to sunset Yaxha tour: at dusk temples are in the shadow and it is nice to go also to Topoxte which can be added only to the morning tour).

Beds have no privacy curtains and there are no lockers in the room. The aircon was too strong for the night. It is also a bit more expensive than other places. I stayed in this hostel only because they arranged a private car (just driving, no guiding on the site) for me to Uaxactun, which costed a lot being alone, but if you are at least 2 people it becomes a fair price (anyway I enjoyed that temple, the driver was nice and the duration was comfortable for the visit). The hostel charged me an extra for paying by card the price of my stay in the hostel (but not the price of the private drive to Uaxactun). I must warn fellow travellers that you would never imagine how complicated it is to change money in what is actually a very touristic town like Flores. There is only one money exchange (with bad exchange rates) in town which you will find closed for the arrival time of busses from San Ignacio and from the tours to the temples. Some hotels also change money and I found one with a kinda fair rate, but the point is that they all change only USD, no other currencies which left me in big troubles. Go to Maya Mall to buy food paying by card freely.
