Very basic accommodation. The room we were given clearly hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guests, there were hairs all over the bed, on the sheets and pillows and in the bathroom, the floor was dirty and the towels were stained. The AC also didn’t work so we asked for a different room. The next room also had a lot of hairs in the bed and bathroom but the AC worked when we turned it on so we stayed with that room thinking every room would be dirty but at least we had the AC working. We also arrived late at night so it was too late to change accommodation. We tried to change the AC in the night and it stopped working and we couldn’t change the temperature or turn it off. No hot water in the shower. When we checked in we were told there would be breakfast between 7-9am but when we went down in the morning we were told there was no breakfast and we should have been told that! When we arrived the person that checked us in only spoke Portuguese and made no attempt to speak any Spanish, despite us only speaking a little Spanish and English, which didn’t make it easy for us. The host in the morning spoke Spanish which helped!
