Long Lane cottage was perfect. It was exceptionally clean and extremely comfortable. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dog. The host was very helpful and the communication was good. The Forest of Dean is beautiful :)

The cottage was gorgeous and had everything you needed

Could not get warm the kitchen was freezing cold and made the rest of the cottage the same even with heating going 😒 and buying more logs for the burner

"Cozy cottage in great location"

8.0

Location is brilliant for walks straight out into the forest . Enclosed garden is lovely. Kitchen despite being small is well equipped. Very warm despite it being winter. Very cosy we will be back

The log burner needs attention as it has a crack in glass and the gap at the bottom when ash grate is closed still makes the burner continuously draw. Heating is warm but couldn’t really use it properly for extra coziness. En-suite shower seems to have slight leak to hallway downstairs but seems this has been reported.

"Passable"

5.0

Kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable.

The heating was inadequate it did not heat up the house, even with heating on full we was all cold with goosebumps. Half the house had no heating. There was loads of big cobwebs. Floors looked and felt dirty. Shower had mould and leaked through the downstairs ceiling very bad. The water was pouring through the asbestos ceiling fast and caused the ceiling to crack and water was entering the next room too. There was mould in both bedrooms behind the beds, around windows and in corners of the room and it smelt. The washing machine had mould in the powder drawer. We developed chesty coughs which i assume is from the cold and damp. The stairs are very very steep, I nearly fell down them every-time I used then. Yes there are handrails but as you got half way up the handrail's were lower than waist height due the steepness of the stairs. The front bedroom is on the main road and the noise especially from the bus that stopped outside was annoying. I had to swap rooms with the children due to the noise and the room with the double bed has less mould. Its a shame as I can see they tried to make it a comfortable place to stay and maybe in warmer weather it might of felt more comfortable but to sit shivering trying to watch tv wrapped in blankets to the point the kids wanted to sit in the car to get warm

"Lovely cottage and excellent hosts. Would recommend."

Private garden for the dog was really handy. Lovely powerful shower. Nice little touch with the Christmas tree. Great to have USB ports in bedroom. Cottage had everything you needed. Great communication.

Partner found the bed was a little uncomfortable as could feel the springs.
