Casa delle Sirene

The location, while away from the direct center, was very easy to walk everywhere in Forio. The bedrooms appeared excellent, but I was allocated to the extremely uncomfortable sofa. Both bathrooms are functional. Air conditioning throughout. Kitchen functional.

There is no signage. Ischia is famous for the colourful tiles everywhere. All it takes is a small inconspicuous tile with the title of the property. Given my professional background, I sorted the kitchen cupboards and drawers to make them less cluttered and more presentable. I had to clean everything once we settled in as the dust and dirt underfoot were unpleasant. A lighter for the gas hotplates would be appreciated As per the description, the apartment is on the 2nd floor with no lift and some of the 36 steps are circular and can be slippery.

Great place, lots of space, one room even has a walk in wardrobe. the apartmant has an amazing terrace with beautiful furniture. The Hosts were there on time and very nice. There was a great coffee machine.

The location is relatively good, c10 mins away from the beach. It was clean upon arrival except for the terrace which was dusty (table/chairs)

The host was late arriving with keys by 30 mins and the internet did not work at the beginning. Also, unfortunately, there is a big step at entrance which my Mum did not see when entering the flat and ended up with a muscle tear and a black arm. The rubbish situation was not ideal, the host sent instructions in Italian on how rubbish collection should be done (only when asked, 2 days into our stay) and did not provide any bin liners so that we did the sorting from the outset. Unfortunately, we couldn’t follow the relatively complicated rubbish collection (certain items on certain days of week) so we ended up piling it on the balcony.

The flat was extremely comfortable for a family trip, recently renovated and having A/C in all rooms (2 bedrooms and a living room), a lovely terrace and fully equipped, modern kitchen. We loved it there!

The apartment is a gem: everything is new, comfortable and clean. Lots of space, free parking lot in gated area. Location is also superb,. Host is extremely kind.

Only caveat is that the apartment is 2 floors up, no elevator. It could be problematic if you have mobility issues.

The location is great , everything is a very close proximity and bars and restaurants are on the door step. The apartment is in the town centre and very close to the bars , restaurants and shops. However, the best about this stay is the island itself and the host. The room is managed by Paola and Dario and they look after us from the minute we arrived . Super hosts- really are. Very warm, Helpful and nice couple . We arrived earlier and they came and pick us up , took us to the their hotel ( there is a hotel that is run by this couple ) where we could stay and use their facilities until we were ready to check in . They picked us up from the thermal baths park and dropped at the port / helped us to buy our ferry tickets and anything we needed. The apartment also is close to the fresh fish and fruit market , you can buy fresh fish in the morning ! A nice pizza restaurant and ice cream. It has a lively terrace, so we cooked fish and stayed in one day ! Overall we had an amazing time and Paola and Dario made it super special and made us feel welcomed !

The only thing , It would be great to have some water in fridge on arrival but this was not an issue as shooed were opened on our arrival !
