What a beautiful little house, it had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay surrounded by fruit trees, birds and rolling hills. Dagmar and Hans are exceptional hosts who go the extra mile to ensure their guests have the best experience.

Loved the peaceful and calm surrounding of the cabin. The cabin itself was extremely clean, very cosy and so comfortable to unwind in after a long day exploring the west coast beaches and hiking the Waitakere Ranges. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bed was super comfortable! I would highly recommend staying at Te Henga Hideaway - it is an amazing cabin and location to get the full New Zealand experience. Thank you Dagmar and Hans for being great hosts, for having great communication and making our trip trouble free!

Amazing location and set-up

Very privat and quiet, great view of the wetlands and gardens, nearby beach with nice café, attentive hosts with dedication to any little detail, new building, fast internet, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, close to Auckland.

We had two wonderful days in this delightful little house. It is furnished with so much attention to detail and really has everything you could wish for. The kitchen is superbly equipped, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the terrace with the breathtaking view was our absolute favourite spot. It was without doubt the most beautiful accommodation on our trip to New Zealand - a little paradise to feel at home in. Hans and Dagmar are warm and attentive hosts who made our stay perfect. We very much hope to return one day :)

Nice private location with plenty of bird life.

Te Henga Hideaway is a private piece of paradise, Dagmar and Hans are excellent hosts. We had a cuppa and korero up on the hill at their house, thank you. The cabin has all you need for a relaxing stay. It's low maintenance, clean and beautiful. The orchard and surrounding gardens, native trees and birdlife was an added bonus. We went to nearby Bethel's beach and Lake Wainamu, and boogie boarded down sand dunes, we were thrilled to have such fun in our early 60s! We fully recommend Te Henga Hideaway to all wanting a break in nature. Nga mihi nui to Dagmar and Hans. 🙂
