Katakolo Stone-paved Family Heaven

We only stayed one night here so that we could use it was a jumping off place for our family of five (2 adults and 3 teenagers) to visit Ancient Olympia the next day. We arrive early evening when the sun was setting and the temperature was beginning to drop. The back porch was gorgeous and wonderful to hang out as the heat subsided. We went to the local grocery store, cooked dinner in the kitchen, and had dinner on the back porch. It was a beautiful evening. We walked to the beach multiple times (it was so close!) but did not go swimming as it was only our second night in Greece. We weren't totally sure of how things worked, but it had it been a couple of days later, our entire family would have gone swimming there. It would have been the perfect beach to spend some time in the water at. There is an air conditioning unit that we had trouble turning on (due to us not knowing again) but the host was quick to help via text. Once we had that going, all was well and the house was cool between that an a fan they provided. Included are pictures of hanging out on the back porch and before crossing brush to the beach.

If we had stated more than one night, this location would have felt small for our family. It was the perfect amount of beds but there was no indoor place to relax to get away from the heat in the middle of the day. We had a little hard time finding the keys as we considered the "front" porch the owners were referring to in the directions was actually the back, but then it was smooth sailing on getting into the location.
