Coco Mango Hostel

Coco Mango Hostel is a fantastic option in Hiriketiya Beach when it comes to budget accommodation. The German guy who runs the property is super friendly and the energy with other like minded travelers is amazing! Plus, good infrastructure and great location. I totally recommend this hostel!

Friendly staff, nice location with easy reach to Hirikitiya and Pehembiya beach, great value

The owners and Julia were very friendly and welcoming. They were helpful with local tips and showing us around! Went out of their way to show us and take us places! Mosquito nets on the beds were good and spacious, own fans on the top bunk. Great location, social area to sit.

Mosquitos everywhere, in the bathroom and bedroom the windows were always open and you will get bitten going to the toilet! The whole bathroom gets very wet when you shower so the floor is always damp even at the door. We booked and paid for the AC room however when we arrived we got moved to the female dorm which had no AC, this wasn’t a big issue though as the fans were fine.

Such a perfect vibe, super close to Hiriketya beach and Dickwella beach, with heaps of eating options both touristy but also a lot of proper local eateries on the main road. Run by very lovely people who are putting time and effort into creating a really welcoming vibe - also there are three puppies here at the moment!

Good location, well equipped kitchen, staff helpful and some very cute puppies!

The staff is the friendliest of the island. We came for one night and stayed four. We hope we can come back soon.

Cosy little hostel in a nice peaceful spot, a short walk to hiriketiya beach one way and some very reasonably priced local restraunts the other way to the main road through Dickwella (breakfast, rice and curry is half the price than Hiri!). Great place for backpackers! New hosts of the hostel were lovely, warm and welcoming people and of course the puppies are absolutley adorable.

My only suggestion would be to make some yoga mats available for people to make the most of the nice little garden out front :)

Good vibe, good location! Very cool people hosting this place. A really great option to stay in Hiri, everything within walking distance and the price is unbeatable
