The Spinney lodge

My wife and I loved everything about this place, what a find! Location, the facilities, the owners and of course not forgetting the morning greetings from Sparky. We arrived after an all day wedding with very little provisions yet Maria came up trumps with a few bits milk etc to save the day, no questions just a smile and kindness.

Nothing! It was perfect in every way.

Lovely property, lots of private space and natural environment

Lovely comfortable stay, with everything we needed for a two night stay in the lodge and a very comfortable bed, There was numerous little areas outside the Lodge to sit and relax, my husband liked the rocking chair on the veranda the most and me the swing. It was so tranquil sat beside the lake on a night when it was all lit up, having a drink and listening to the water fountain and watching its pretty colours. The proprietors were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they directed us to a pub, that was a couple of minutes down the road to eat and the food was divine. Our overall experience was very satisfactory and I would highly recommend infact we're looking forward to returning again later in the year.

It is a single pod next to the lake/large pond, which means you aren't sharing with anybody else. There is lots of places to sit outdoors and relax. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Outside could have been tidier i.e. ashtray emptied, but this is nit picking. The boat wouldn't come out of the boat house. Nothing else

Fantastic setting, very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. I would recommend 100%.

Highly recommend this place to anyone. It was an amazing stay. The hosts were really friendly, helpful, I couldn't ask for anything more. I will definitely be returning.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this place.

Maria and Phill were awesome hosts, we had to check in late but it was no problem for them, had a fantastic evening meal at The Red Lion down the road, as recommended to us Maria. Clean, comfy, fantastic views and excellent facilities. Looking forward to staying here again.
