"Very helpful staff!"

7.0

Incredibly helpful staff saved the day by providing safety pins for a dress malfunction. The location for the Yorkshire wedding barn was ideal and there was plenty of parking.

What on earth is that green light on the ceiling! It was so bright, it kept me awake! Also the light came beaming through the window in the door in the morning. I would suggest a small curtain maybe? Room 3 was difficult to lock.

"Peaceful, tranquil location. Rather dark room, with little natural light. The stay was otherwise pleasant."

7.0

The location was in a quiet village, peaceful and quiet.

The room was dark, with no window to allow outside light. Although there were two velum windows, they didn’t afford an outside view, which coupled with the dark interior, decor felt claustrophobic. There was a problem with the door lock which the owner attempted to resolve, but wasn’t completely remedied.

"It was to break up"

6.0

Cute room

Location. Hard to find, no phone signal or wifi in area. Stupidly I had not downloaded before leaving any messages so it was a struggle due to lack of signal. Also once managed to find one bar to get instructions there was insufficient instructions in the room. Shower was burning hot wouldn't turn down Managed to work out WiFi so could find a taxi company to rake us into town

"Ideal property to break up our journey from Scotland to Essex."

8.0

Very smart and well furnished property in a wonderful location. Ideal for visiting North Yorkshire and/or stopping off on route to Scotland or returning home.

The TV is in a strange position, almost behind the bed. Impossible to watch from in bed.

"I felt the price of this room, no breakfast included, for what it was and with the negatives, was over priced. Had booke"

4.0

The bed was comfortable

Stayed in Room 3 The room was very cold and dark (although still daylight)when I arrived so didn’t feel welcoming. Used the heater to warm it up. One blind on the Velux window was already closed (adding to the darkness of the room) the other Velux window (by the bed) was 2/3rds closed, no pole available to alter anything. The blind being part open meant that I was woken at 4am by daylight streaming in on the bed. The TV is at right angles to the bed, so couldn’t be watched from the bed. A dining type chair was in the opposite corner behind the bed, the only place to watch the TV, not very relaxing or comfortable after a long journey. Bathroom cold and towel rail not on, information from owners said it could be turned on at a switch, the switch appeared to be behind the wardrobe. The fridge was noisy so had to turn it off but switch was behind a cupboard so difficult to reach. Choice of decaff coffee rather than just a jar of coffee granules would have been nice.

"Pleasant stay in a lovely location, a few issues but nothing to bad that we wouldn’t return"

6.0

The decor and style of room was beautifully done. The location was peaceful and the staff were very helpful, respectful and kind. We also liked the self check in system. The bed was very clean and comfortable. Good WiFi.

Unfortunately we had a few issues with the windows, one wouldn’t close at all as broke and the blind on the other one was broke so wouldn’t close (but the owner was more than happy to help us) We had a few issues with how unclean the room was. The sofa was badly stained, there was a lot of dust throughout and the shower panels still had someone else’s shower cream on it. The local pub does not sell food anymore. We thought a few info packs on what’s local to do in the room would be useful eg walks, towns etc.
