Casa Vacanze Smeralda Amalfi Coast

The location is a beautiful hillside village close to Vietri sul Mare on the Amalfi Coast. Spacious house with plenty of outdoor space. The hosts were very helpful and gave great recommendations for places to visit and restaurants in the area.

Wifi was a bit patchy at times. Just to note that the house itself is not accessible by car and you need to walk a little bit to get to it. Not a problem for most people, but just to be aware of this.

If you like Italian life style you should not miss this place! Located in authentic and quiet village Dragonea in the hills you will feel the real life - meeting friendly locals greeting you with obvious "Buongiorno" on your morning 2 minute walk thru the narrow old streets to the mini market where you will buy fresh croissants, crispy bread and fantastic prosciuto is unforgettable. Thanks to the location you have wonderful views and good sleep because from 10pm the village is absolutely quiet and the air is colder with refreshing breeze during the night. House itself is very pleasant and clean, equipped basically with everything you need. The owners are very friendly and helpful, available on Whatsapp at anytime, we could ask anything. We were checked-in/out in person by the owners. They speak no english but google translate did the job perfectly. They were very helpful, we arrived quite late - tired and hungry, they were able to manage the place in the nearby restaurant even if it was almost closed. Keep in mind that the roads from Vietri Sul Mare to Dragonea are very narrow and steep - we liked that experience as a part of authenticity but for less experienced drivers it can be challenging.. On the other hand you can use local shuttle bus from Drangonea to Vietri which operates quite often during the day until 9:30pm. Amalfi coast is great. Discover Vietri, don't miss city of Salerno, take the boat taxi to Amalfi, enjoy great food, nice people and the sea...Dolce Vita :)

If I must unlike something then maybe one thing - the middle part of the double bed frame in small bedroom was bit deformated which caused that the mattresses were not completely flat. We were OK with that but I can imagine that for someone it can be the problem - this should be improved.

Absolutely loved the place, very quiet and everyone around is so friendly. The host is wonderful and very easily reachable, he helped whenever we needed and his parents are lovely, helping us check in and check out and even helping with luggage when they saw we were travelling with 2 one year olds. The casa is fully air conditioned, beautifully furnished and has everything you could possibly need.

I would recommend a microwave oven as this would help with heating food for babies etc. Other than that no complaints at all!

Property was bigger in real life than in photos and overall we were pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable, cosy and peaceful place. Beautiful location and view as well. The host was extremelly helpful, met us for check in late at night and helped with everything. Higly suggest for a great italian experience!
