The host Luigi made us feel welcomed. The proximity to an array of beaches is great IF you have a car. However, there are a few local beaches if you decide not to drive. If I remember correctly, the number 5 bus takes you to Olbia. Keep in mind that they stop running around 20:00, so you'd need to find your own way back with a cab. The amenities at the property are good, though there could be some additional items e.g., kettle, swiffer, etc. There are supermarkets and pharmacies nearby in case you need to pick up food or medication. This was helpful as my wife fell ill during our stay. Of course, the beautiful view of Porto Rotondo! There are many lovely restaurants where the quality of food is fantastic. Italians are proud of their food, so nothing to worry about here (unless you are really unlucky somewhere).

Parking was not too clear. However, we found out that depending on the time of the season, parking in certain areas is free (even if there are signs saying to pay). The booking.com platform caused a bit of confusion between the host and ourselves. Specifically, not receiving messages via the platform. This meant that the timing of communication was not aligned and there had to be quick adjustments on both sides. When leaving the apartment, we only needed to wash the dishes, the cleaning ladies told us to leave the dishes and they will happily take care of them. However, the owner of the property received photos of unwashed dishes. This was annoying for us as we established a trusting relationship with him. We explained the situation and Luigi was understanding that it was perhaps a misunderstanding. My tip for future visitors is to tidy everything even if the cleaning crew insist on "helping" out.
