Warm, spotless clean, feeling like home.

The cottage was great, it is out of the way - the nearest town Castletownbere is a few minutes drive away and there is a supermarket, restaurants... but the peace and quiet is wonderful, we had daily visits from pheasants in the courtyard. The cottage is excellently equipped, the rooms large, everything very clean - the landlord even provided us with fresh fruit and wood for the fireplace and there was also food in the fridge. There was only one problem, we had booked 2 bedrooms (which was confirmed) but the landlord had received confirmation from Booking for 1 bedroom. However, Declan responded immediately to our message and he then unlocked a 2nd bedroom for us. However, it was definitely not the landlord's fault, the error was with Booking.com - Declan responded promptly as described and was very nice. I can recommend the accommodation with full conviction.

Beautiful birds in the garden, walks on doorstep, quietness, views.Good communication from Declan and nice that milk etc was left for us.

Declan (the owner) had thought of everything. Little personal touches here and there made us feel that he'd gone above and beyond. The house was beautifully presented and was instantly warm and comfortable. He had even left a small stock of food and drink for our use. We had booked this property for only one night as we were attending an event in the area. Now we wish we'd booked it for a week or more. It's one of the best stays we have ever done. Highly recommended.

We initially found the property difficult to locate as it is in a very rural setting.

Great location, peaceful and welcoming. Spacious rooms and well equipped. Host always available is needed. Would definitely stay again.
