Casa Vive Bacalar

Loved the location, the privacy, style & attention to detail in the facilities (architecture, decor, materials.and finishes), food in the restaurant was outstanding (they even make their own bread), private beach available 24h with fun stuff available to guests (like kayaks and paddle boards). Last but not least, hospitality of the staff really made a difference (kudos to Luis and Chef David)

Minor point of improvement: A bigger board or better signage to the hotel's gate from the main highway could help in better locating the entrance to the road that leads to the hotel, especially at night.

Staff Room Location Food and drinks

Our stay at Casa Vive was truly wonderful. The property is really something quite stunning. I loved how the property just merged into the jungle and you can’t see it from the lagoon. The bedroom was so comfortable and peaceful and felt very private. The kayaks, SUP, and all the day beds were a real plus, we didn’t feel the need to go out. This part of the lagoon is beautiful. We ate in the restaurant and the food was really very good and reasonably priced. The breakfast is light but good and you can order more things off the menu. The whole experience felt like staying in a private house, so relaxed and friendly it could have been your own house. Thank you to Luis and all the staff who are doing a great job looking after everything, no mean feet in this tropical environment.

The onsite restaurant was close one of the night.

Staff was great, room was great, food was great but what’s really exceptional is the lagoon front they have. Probably the best in Bacalar
