We had everything, more then enough. But the lock did not work so we had to fix it.

Really stylish cabin close to the golden circle in Iceland. Hot tub was awesome, the cabin is nicely designed, the two bedroom are nice and comfy and the kitchen has everything you could ever need for a quick stay. Would definitely recommend staying here. On the downside, there are some little things that need fixing (door to the restroom only stays closed by leaning it onto like a piece of wood that is also not really fixed to the wall) and the shower head was broken (the water hose does not fit the shower head, leading to half the water spraying out of the back of that shower head instead of onto you.) Pricing wise, we went in February, where the price was 240€ a night, which I guess is okay for Iceland and this cabin in particular. Not sure I'd be willing to spend 500€ a night in the summer though...

Spacious apartment with wonderful amenities. The hot tub was great and luxe feel furniture. Proper sized kitchen with full fridge and freezer, oven, microwave, stove and dishwasher as per the photos and description.

The check in. We were hoping to check in a little bit earlier (45 min) due to a weather warning and had to stay off the roads. When we arrived at the cabin it hadn’t been cleaned yet, no one was there either, and messaged the host to ask for earlier check in, who advised it wasn’t possible due to not being ready yet, fair enough. She said would let us know as soon as it was. We then hovered around the area and 1.5 hours after the stated check in and with no response from our host yet, we returned to the cabin. It was still being cleaned and they were just wrapping up cleaning, so we waited in the car until we could finally enter. The rest of the stay was wonderful, but the late check in did put a damper on the evening. The shower was very small.

The location was good and it was peaceful, the outdoor hot tub was good. Good facilities (except shower) It could be an improved for the price and there’s better places to stay near by.

I did try to contact the owners but nobody replies. There’s no actual heating the property, you have a small portable heater but it’s not enough to heat the cabin. We turned the oven on and opened it up while we were there to warm the room. The doors don’t fit the case that well and there’s big gaps around the doors - the doors do lock but it’s a struggle and allot of slamming and pushing (clearly a problem the owner is aware of based on previous reviews) We stayed for a week and there’s nowhere to put rubbish so you end up with it pulling up. There’s no smoke detectors - the mount is there but no actual detectors. The shower is possibly the smallest shower I have ever used, you can’t actually bend to wash properly in it. Theres a lack of storage space to put coats etc When you come in from the snow there is nowhere to take your boots off so we put the mat from the living room there otherwise there is water everywhere when the snow melts Lack of out side lights, there’s no outdoor lighting we arrived in the evening and it’s very dark with no actual path to the lodge you have to go up and down a small slope that’s very icy with the snow. I don’t think the hot tub has ever been cleaned. All in all it looks like the cabin was built as a DIY project, nothing is finished that well and it just seems cobbled together.

The views were fabulous.. especially northern lights The cabin had all the facilities needed to rest and relax

Temperature inside was a bit cold and impossible to change. Filling the hot tub was also complicated but mysteriously it worked in the end.

Everything was great. You have all the things you may need and the house it is clean and comfortable. The jacuzzi was a plus, we were able to see the aurora from there.
