Who needs Secret Lagoon when you have a private hot tub with thermal water? Many people seem to mistaken that smell as sewage but it’s not. They got hot spring water without knowing it. It is 15 minutes from Mika …. Definitely go there for dinner! You won’t regret it. The house itself is very comfortable and clean. Despite its remoteness (perfect for northern night viewing), we feel safe.

Locating the property isn’t easy. I think if the host sends turn-by-turn instructions by landmark (instead of by meters), it would be way easier. There is a private hot tub. However it is not enclosed. That is, you don’t need to get access to the main building in order to access the hot tub. Some people may like it, some people may feel vulnerable inside the hot tub and feel weird about it. The bathroom layout is also a little strange. It is facing the front door which is a storm door with clear glass. Perhaps a window blind or translucent window sticker covering the glass would improve the privacy. We had some minor issues with the house and also with communication with the host. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with yellow snowstorm with ridiculous wind gust that may have impact the responsiveness.

Overall, everything was great. The location and view were fantastic. The staff quickly helped us resolve any issues we had. We really enjoyed everything. P.S. I would have preferred a panoramic window in the jacuzzi so that we could fully enjoy the view of the mountains.

Firstly what incredible hosts we had! We got our car stuck in the snow / mud on the way and had to call breakdown. Our lovely hosts came out to find us even though we weren’t sure where we were, they tried to shovel us out and when that didn’t work they came back with a tractor to tow us out and then guided us to the inn! So so lovely of them. They also set the hot tub up for us on arrival! The cabin was absolutely beautiful, set in a gorgeous secluded farm with perfect views. Beautiful interior, really comfy with everything you need. The hot tub was so lovely too. Oh and we got to see the aurora! Thank you for a wonderful stay and for all of your help!

Une petite maison avec un beau séjour très agréable et lumineux , deux petites chambres (mais cela nous suffisait amplement) , un coin cuisine-séjour avec une vue très dégagée sur un fond de montagne enneigé Une cuisine avec équipement correcte pour faire notre cuisine (un peu à la française) Bien en retrait de la route pour un calme , une terrasse que nous n'avons pas utilisé (nous étions en hiver avec température négative) bref un hebergement que je retiens si toute fois nous retournons en Islande Merci
